Valtra launches 6th-generation T Series tractor, orders open 1 October

Why it matters: a full redesign of Valtra's mainline row-crop/utility tractor for European, Middle Eastern and broader markets, with orders opening the same day as the announcement.
AGCO's Valtra brand unveiled the sixth-generation T Series on 1 October, calling it a complete redesign built around a new SmartTouch Gen2 interface, automated ground-speed hydraulics and factory-fitted PTx FarmENGAGE connectivity. Power comes from AGCO Power's CORE75 7.5-litre six-cylinder diesel, spanning 170 to 245hp with up to 1,184Nm of torque on the flagship T236. AGCO claims a 5 per cent fuel efficiency gain over the outgoing model in lab testing. Buyers get a choice of the existing ML 180 CVT or a new 10-step powershift gearbox, with transport speeds up to 57km/h. Orders opened the day of the announcement, with deliveries promised by year-end.
